Our fees are:
Child Care Benefit (CCB) is a subsidy provided by the Australian Government through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). The Child Care Management System is used to process your CCB. It is a subsidy to reduce child care fees for families.
The Family Assistance Office is responsible for carrying out an assessment of a family's eligibility to receive Child Care Benefit. Responsibility for obtaining CCB lies with the parents. Applications may be made by phoning the Family Assistance Office on 136150. Our Carer Reference Number is 1-DS949L.
The Family Assistance Office will notify the parents and the Child Care Centre which you have nominated of the amount of CCB that you may claim. Please note that any entitlement to CCB will only be valid from the date which F.A.O. actually receive your application.
Whether you wish to claim Child Care Benefit as a lump sum at the end of the financial year or as reduced fees we are required by law to submit attendance records to the DEEWR to provide details of care provided. At the end of each week (i.e. after 3pm Friday) we are required to submit that week's attendance records to DEEWR. Once the attendance records are processed by DEEWR the service will receive the processing results detailing any fee reduction amounts which will be passed on to you. CCMS bills parents in arrears. It is our policy that fees should be kept two weeks in advance at all times.
Child Care Tax Rebate
Currently eligible working families can also claim Child Care Tax Rebate (CCTR). Eligible families can claim back 50% of their out-of-pocket child care costs (up to $7,500* per child per year indexed annually) in the form of a tax rebate. This is a payment received directly by families on a quarterly basis through the Family Assistance Office. * Child Care Tax Rebate effective from 1 July 2009
