At A Place To Grow Early Learning Academy, it is our goal to provide quality care and excellence in early childhood education for children aged 2 to 5 years. We achieve this by adhering to our own, unique philosophy, which adopts a wide range of best practices in the early childhood field.
Our Academy places emphasis on a child’s ability to learn through experience and through the senses, and our curriculum affords each child some control over the direction of their learning. We also actively encourage parental and community involvement and respect the parent as the child’s primary teacher. As such we will always endeavour to break down any home / school barrier and share each child’s progress with their parent or guardian on a day-to-day basis, inviting parents to visit the Academy and participate in learning activities as frequently as they wish.
At A Place to Grow Early Learning Academy we:
- Ensure your little one is loved, respected, nurtured and educated in our new, secure, purpose built early
- learning centre located in Chifley, Sydney.
- Strive to create an environment that is fulfilling, enriching and supportive of all possible learning and
- growing opportunities.
- Endeavour to serve the needs of families within Chifley and the greater community.

At Mount Zion Early Learning Centre we like to refer to our Early Learning Centre as ’your home.’
As soon as you step through the front door your child walks into a home - rather than a school. It’s your child’s safe, friendly and warm space, with lots of light and expansive rooms.
But what really makes our house a home is its spacious, natural outdoor play and learning space. It’s here where your child will discover large trees, a cubby house, a sandpit and chickens.
The Mount Zion Early Learning Centre is our little oasis within the Eastern Suburbs. Contact us for more information.
Greengables Children's Day Nursery is a long day care centre in Kingsford, NSW. Greengables is a family owned and operated service since its opening in 1992.
Greengables is licensed by the Department of Education and Communities for 58 children per day with ages ranging from 2-6 years old. Greengables is open from 8am and closes at 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. At Greengables we believe children learn and develop through positive, secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships. These relationships are important for children’s development and well being providing children with the necessary skills to feel respected and valued.
We also believe that when children feel safe, supported and secure in their learning environment, foundations can be built to maximise their potential as successful and confident learners. This provides a positive framework for children’s future success in life and learning. Contact us for more information.
Platinum Pre School Clovelly has a new name... Everlearn Preschool - Clovelly
We are excited to announce that as we've grown and evolved over the years, so has our philosophy of education. We've fine-tuned our approach and we've developed both as individuals and as members of an educational institution. As part of this growth, we have reached a point in our history where we feel like it's time for a new name. Whilst Platinum Pre School is a name that has served us well in encapsulating the quality of education that we offer, we also feel like it somewhat limited in describing the full commitment and passion that we have for education. As such, we have been working for the majority of this year on reshaping our identity to better capture who we are and what we do.
We are excited to announce that we are now Everlearn Preschool. This new name is designed to reflect our unwavering commitment to education and our responsibility in sparking lifelong learning and curiosity, whilst weaving care and consideration into everything we do. www.everlearn.com.au
Montessori Works Maroubra & Montessori Works Matravillemight be just what you have been looking for - where children love to learn!
When attending Montessori Works it is our intention to give your child the opportunity to create a strong foundation which will benefit them throughout their school years and entire life. At the same time they will be enjoying their time at school and having a lot of fun.
Montessori environments are carefully and thoughtfully designed to enable children to develop at their own pace: it is peacefully calming, enticing and orderly, comfortable and challenging in multi age settings. We begin from 6 weeks to 6 years. 0-3 has a separate environment suited for babies and toddlers (Nido) and there is a separate 2-6 environment to transition to (the Children’s House) before going to the Primary of your choice. An amazing Preschool program is embedded in the Montessori curriculum including music and culture, art and craft, fundamental movement and academics of language, maths and science – all hands on experiences!
We are open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm and provide food and cloth nappies as we are committed to sustainability. Consideration is a core value in the process of guiding children’s behaviour and we actively encourage parents to become involved and learn more about Montessori education. Through our Montessori Record Express Parent Portal you will be able to follow the EYLF learning that is going on weekly.
You are welcome to come for a tour to meet our dedicated educators (who speak English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and Filipino) and arrange an individualised orientation process to commence enrolment. “Help me to do it myself” is the call from the child and “I did it!” a feeling of confidence and achievement through acting on the environment, learning that our mistakes help us to learn. Don’t miss out! www.montessoriworks.com.au

Toilet Training
Just as your baby starts to get older, and you fall into a comfortable routine, it comes time to toilet train. And all of a sudden you find yourself in a spot where you just don't know what to do! Here are some helpful hints to get your prince or princess on the throne.
Pick the right time
Most children aren't ready to use the toilet until they are two or three years' old.
Start preparing your child
It's a good idea to prepare at least a week
Give it a go
It's a good idea to wait until you've got a quiet week at home before starting. Begin first thing in the morning by putting your child in their special underpants, and some old, loose-fitting clothes.
The first few weeks
Toilet training doesn't happen overnight; it might take your child just a few days to get the hang of it, or possibly a few weeks.
Troubleshooting
Sometimes children need a little extra help.
If you find yourself getting angry, or you feel as though your child is not responding, simply stop. Have a break and try again in a few weeks
